The College of Education for Pure Sciences (Ibn Al-Haitham) at the University of Baghdad has organized an awareness course entitled (Social Engineering and Security Immunization) in which the lecturer Muhammad Abbas al-Saadi delivered a lecture in the presence of the Advisor for Strategic Affairs in the Chancellery (Prof. Saeed Al-Jayashi), the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Firas Abdul Hamid Abdul Latif, and a large number of faculty members and students of the college.
The course aimed to spread community awareness in dealing with modern technology and how to make the best use of applications and software that are used in smart phones and others. On the first day, the course included the definition of smart devices and how to deal with the applications that are installed on them, how to discover security gaps in these applications and deal with them and with intruders, as well as awareness in entering and dealing with Internet networks in public places. The course also included the definition of how to psychologically immunize against brainwashing and obliterate the principles and values of the sober society that target children and youth.
