Dr. Zainab Abdul Mahdi Neimah, a lecturer from the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Islamic Sciences, has participated in the International Scientific Conference entitled (The Mesopotamian Church is Embracing Civilization and Heritage) held at the “Star of the Levant” House for Publishing and Distribution of the Chaldean Patriarchate on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the Mesopotamian Journal (1972-2022), under the slogan “Beyond the Cradle of Civilizations”
Dr. Zainab Abdul Mahdi presented a research paper entitled “Biography of the Novelist Hayat Sharara” who was an Iraqi writer, translator and educator born in Najaf and was specialized in literature. The research dealt with the literature of the biography of fiction, which is a type of modern literary genre, in which the writer presents his life or the life of one of the characters in a dramatic way in a combination between fact and fiction, and this may take the form of memoirs, diaries or confessions or to be formulated in the form of a novel, in which the writer takes one of the characters of the novel as an objective equivalent to his person, and this is what the Iraqi novel Hayat Sharara did in her novel (If the days are darkened).
