Dr. Haidar al-Baghdadi, a faculty member from the college of engineering at the University of Baghdad was selected as the Chairman of the Public Policy Development Committee for City Building that is one of the ministerial committees charged with developing a public policy for building modern cities in the country with designs that mimic the Iraqi cultural identity.
The committee is also concerned with the development of instructions for the construction of modern cities and aimed at preserving the economic identity in sustainable forms. Dr. Haidar al-Baghdadi has participated in the meeting of the ministerial committee along with the membership of 16 specialists from various Iraqi universities and state ministries to discuss this topic, taking into account all related instructions issued by the ministry of higher education and scientific research.
