The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science for Women held an electronic lecture entitled “Legal protection of health and environment from the negative effects of tobacco” via the Google Meet platform presented by Dr. Salah Khairi, a faculty member at the department of biology.
The lecturer explained the importance of educating the community about the harms of smoking and its economic and health consequences and environmental pollution is very dangerous and explained that one of the most important reasons for the spread of this phenomenon is the lack of awareness of young people about the harms of nicotine and other substances that make up cigarettes, which are negative and cause many diseases. During the lecture, many questions and suggestions were exchanged including the need to publish posters and launch campaigns within institutions and universities to reduce this phenomenon.
