The department of Quranic sciences at the college of education for humanities (Ibn Rushd) held an electronic workshop entitled “Stages of the development and significance of speech science” delivered by Dr. Hamid Juwaid Abdul Hassan with the aim to highlight the origin of this science and the reasons behind its emergence from Islamic perspectives in the participation of a number of professors and postgraduate students.
The workshop came up with a range of prominent recommendations including the study of production, transmission and perception of speech in future research as well as the need to author a scientific encyclopedia that deals with the doctrines of interpreters through a project administrated by the faculty members at the department.
