The college of pharmacy at the University of Baghdad organized recently an electronic workshop entitled “The role of the pharmacist in the use of chemotherapy” via Zoom platform delivered by the lecturer Ihab Mudhar Mikhail from the clinical pharmacy branch of the college. The workshop aimed to introduce the tasks of a clinical pharmacist when treating cancer patients using oral medications, instead of intravenous drugs. At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants discussed the obstacles to the work of the clinical pharmacist in this field and addressed some proposals on chemotherapy for using powerful chemicals to kill fast-growing cells in the body.
