His Excellency, the minister of higher education and scientific research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdul Sahib dedicated a certificate of appreciation to the University of Baghdad for its efforts exerted towards getting the first ranks in international rankings at the local level, namely in Scimago Institutions Rankings and in Webometrics Ranking of World Universities issued in late January.
It is noteworthy that the Scimago rankings are based on three indicators: research rankings (50%), innovation rankings (30%) and societal rankings (20%), while the Webometrics Ranking issued by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) depends on evaluating the academic performance of universities globally through their websites.
