Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has presided over the 17th session of the university council in the presence of his assistants for scientific and administrative affairs. The members discussed the latest developments on the agenda where the rector stressed the need to adopt the appropriate pathways for scientific promotions as well as to unify visions regarding the scientific projects and outputs presented in various university exhibitions. Then the members discussed modern procedures taken for achieving sound work management online during the comprehensive curfew.
Dr. Munir al-Saadi also stressed on the enhancement of team work since there are a number of new private universities in the country that have started competing our university, therefore we have to raise the quality of research and services in order to raise our status at the regional and global levels, noting that the academic competition is regarded as a national duty for the advancement of nations and peoples. The council also discussed a number of topics, namely the inauguration of a master’s degree in economic feasibility studies and project evaluation as well as a higher diploma degree in oncology at the faculties of nursing and medicine.
