A delegation of the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad visited recently the Center for Documents, Manuscripts and Heritage Revival at the Sunni Endowment Office and was received by the director of the center Dr. Thiaa al-Merie. The two sides expressed readiness to expand prospects of mutual academic cooperation in organizing conferences, seminars and workshops according to the directions and sponsorship of the rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two centers, including twelve articles that stressed on the continued coordination for the formation of joint committees, exchange of visits, expertise and cultural outputs. Then the director of the center for the revival of Arab scientific heritage Prof. Dr. Riad Saeed Latif gave a speech during the celebration of the Manuscript Day established by the Sunni Endowment Office where he addressed the indifference of people to the importance of manuscripts and their role in the civilized advancement of the nation and as being a living example and proof of the Arab Islamic civilization in various pure, applied and legitimate sciences.
