The captain of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Prof. Muayd al-Lami has honored recently the media team a certificate of thanks and appreciation for winning the award of the Sharjah International Film Festival sponsored by the college of communication at Sharjah University in UAE.
Prof. Muayd al-Lami expressed his pleasure for the effective participation of the students and professors of the University of Baghdad in this great professional Arab event that contributes immensely to feelings of social cohesion at the regional level to reflect professionalism of Iraqi media students and their ability to achieve academic and journalistic achievements in various international forums and competitions so as to represent Iraq in all areas. It is noteworthy that a film named “White Fantasy” which is produced by Mohammed Alwan, a student from the radio and television department under the direct supervision of the dean of the college Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher along with Dr. Haidar Al-Qutbi and Dr. Dhiaa Mustafa has won the best mobile film award during a competition of 145 drama short, documentary, animated and mobile films presented by 50 universities representing 11 countries around the world.
