The department of earth sciences, in collaboration with Ibn Sina E-Learning Unit at the college of science organized an electronic workshop via Google Classroom platform on “The genesis of iron oxide-gold deposits” with the participation of professors and researchers from inside and outside Iraq.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Martin Smith, a researcher at the University of Brighton in UK aimed to find evidence about such deposits in Kiruna district & the Urals. The researcher discussed the generation of mineral sediments of economic importance for many industries in Kiruna district in Sweden and the Urals in the republic of Kazakhstan.
