The council of the University of Baghdad held its 12th session under the chairmanship of the university rector Prof. Dr. Munir Hameed Al Saadi in the presence of his associates for scientific and administrative affairs and all members to discuss the latest developments in humanities and social disciplines.
Al-Saadi stressed at his opening of the session that the university faces a number of internal and external challenges after the success of E-learning experience, so deans of colleges must diagnose weaknesses and strengths in this experience, taking advantage of opportunities to improve their academic reality, development of new plans to promote scientific research, participate in online conferences to benefit from other scientific and administrative competencies to raise the university ranking.
The council discussed the admission to postgraduate studies, scientific dissemination of research in international repositories, as well as the inauguration of the Japanese language department at the college of arts in coordination with the department of English language in the near future, funded by the Japanese Embassy in Iraq, in cooperation with professors from the Arab republic of Egypt.
