The department of petroleum engineering at the University of Baghdad organized an online lecture sponsored by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) on the procedures adopted in well-control which was administrated by the researcher Ali Maher Nouri.
The lecturer provided a lot of information on the methods used in the calculation of drilling oil wells and expelling gas kick in a safe way. This event witnessed the attendance of a number of graduate and postgraduate students at the department and was open to all those interested from other Iraqi universities in this field to increase the benefit. It is worth mentioned that this is the fourth lecture administrated by SPE this year via electronic platforms on well sensors, drilling oil wells, gas reservoir engineering and well-control.
