The institute of genetic engineering & biotechnologies at the University of Baghdad has organized recently a scientific symposium on animal tissue transplantation delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Rasha Abdul Hussein Mahood delivered an electronic lecture for the students of higher diploma via FCC platform. The lecturer dealt with Xenotransplantation which is a procedure that involves the transplantation, implantation or infusion into a human recipient of live cells, tissues or organs from a nonhuman animal source.

This event lasted for two and a half hours and was in preparation for the final exam due to the circumstances of the curfew witnessed by our country as a result of the Corona epidemic. It is worth mentioning that the professors of the institute held many fruitful online seminars to keep in touch with their graduate and postgraduate students in addition to participation in a number of workshops sponsored by many regional and international universities.
