The Biological Research Unit for Hot Zones in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the college of science has recently organized a workshop on the “Methods of investigation and detection of biofilm produced from microbiology” with the participation of a number of researchers and those interested in biotechnology and laboratory analysis.

The lecturers identified the widespread biofilms, various types of microorganism, not only bacteria and Archaea that have mechanisms that allow them to stick to surfaces and to each other, as well as biofilm formation by studied isolations and examining the effect of some plant extracts on the formation of the biomembrane.
