Assist. Prof. Dr. Waqas Saad Khalaf from the department of industrial management at the college of administration and economics has participated in the fifteenth international conference for statistical applications ICSA-2020 sponsored by Tishic International University in Erbil with a research paper on (Multi-stage allocation and objectives for the design of the internal arrangement of the facility) which was selected as one of the distinguished research essays for publication in the “Periodicals of Engineering and Natural Sciences” within Scopus Q2 database.
This study is based on Al-Maamoun factory of the General Company for Food Products which suffers from poor planning of production facilities and warehouses of both types (raw materials warehouses and warehouses of ready-made products) which causes a lot of time, resources and effort in the process of transporting raw materials or even individuals and which leads to an increase in the costs of handling materials as well as not providing a timely service. The study tried to solve this problem by building a mathematical model based on a multi-stage mapping method to find the task.
