The Biological Research Unit for Hot Zones at the college of science has recently organized a training course on “Using Eliza technology in biological tests” with the participation of a number of researchers and those interested in biological and chemical topics and laboratory analysis.

The course aimed to train students in the departments of biotechnological sciences such as biology, chemistry, pathological analysis, veterinary medicine on this technique, its types and methods of use in laboratory and research tests. The lecturers explained that the term “Eliza” as an acronym for enzyme linked immunsorbent assay, which is one of extensive diagnostic laboratory technologies used in most laboratories of pathological analysis, especially in the diagnosis of viruses and analyses of immunity such as AIDS and hepatitis, as well as being a biochemical test based on the use of antibodies, and chromatitis.
