The presidency of the University of Baghdad held a farewell ceremony for its rector, Prof. Dr. Imad Hussein Mirza al-Husseini on the occasion of his retirement.
The Associate Rector for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Samarrai, dedicated the university’s shield to him for his excellence and academic vision in the administration of our university in its various formations in the current exceptional health conditions facing iraq.
Al-Husseini stressed during his speech that the University of Baghdad has a unique academic position among Arab and international educational institutions and has entered sober rankings such as THE World University Rankings and QS Ranking, praising the role of its faculty and staff whose research abroad became an important reference in Scopus and Thomson Reuters.
The ceremony was attended by the Associate Rector for administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Waheed, and a number of deans and department directors at the university presidency, as well as the participation of a number of distinguished professors and employees referred to retirement.
