Their Excellency the ministers of higher education, education and health have visited on Saturday the college of media at the University of Baghdad to inspect the final examinations for the secondary students.

The visiting delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Abdul Kareem Al-Samarrai, the associate rector for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Waheed, the associate rector for administrative affairs along with Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher, dean of the college. During his speech, the minister of higher education Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazim Abdul Sahib, stated that “the integration of roles between state institutions is an important factor in the success of various ongoing procedures that require an exceptional national effort”, expressing his thanks and gratitude to the sincere efforts exerted by the dean, teaching and staff in this endeavor as well as the precautionary measures taken by the college in the field of health prevention of the Corona epidemic. For his part, the ministers of education and health, Dr. Ali Hameed Mikhlif and Dr. Hassan al-Tamimi expressed their optimism about the level of logistical and health procedures supporting the exams in this delicate situation, in which the Iraqi students are facing a major challenge to overcome the repercussions of the pandemic on one hand and drawing the threshold for their future in the near term.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Kareem Al-Samarrai pointed out the exceptional efforts made by the colleges and institutes of the university to provide the requirements for the final examinations by the early presence of their staff to follow-up the preparation of exam halls, provision of electric generators and cooling means and the necessary health conditions, pointing out that our university will always remain at the level of responsibility for serving our beloved country and its great people. For his part, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Waheed, the associated rectors for administrative affairs confirmed that the special committees set up by colleges and institutes are working continuously to overcome the obstacles facing the exams in coordination with the supervising educational committees, expressing his appreciation for the deans for their efforts during this serious health crisis.
