The Center for Information Resources at the General Secretariat of the Central Library has organized lately a lecture on Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program delivered by Prof. Muthanna Assim from AMIDEAST organization in the presence of a number of university professors. The lecture aimed to shed some light on this visiting study program and its role in developing the abilities and skills of the Iraqi teaching staff by involving them in advanced scientific and technological courses in USA.

It is noteworthy that the Fulbright Program was established in 1946 sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and it is one of the leading international educational exchange programs that provides an opportunity for a number of scholars to spend 10 weeks at one of the American universities to develop their teaching abilities.
