Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad convened its Second Postgraduate Conference under the theme “Our Projects – A Future Vision”, attended by University President Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Al-Zughaybi, alongside faculty members and students.

In his keynote address, the President emphasized the importance of the engineering disciplines embraced by the College and their role in preparing qualified cadres to support both state institutions and the private sector. He noted that postgraduate projects serve as a fundamental launchpad for innovation and for advancing sustainable development.

Dean Prof. Dr. Wadoud Taher Mohammed explained that the conference provides a scientific platform for presenting students’ research outputs, contributing to the development of the academic environment and the enhancement of higher education quality. He added that the College is preparing to open several new scientific departments aligned with the University’s broader orientation toward modern applied sciences.

The conference also featured the inauguration of an exhibition showcasing engineering projects, including the winning entries selected from among 107 submissions. In addition, scientific sessions were held to discuss doctoral research in the presence of specialized committees, reinforcing the research trajectory and strengthening postgraduate outcomes.
