The President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hassan Al-Zughaibi, received His Excellency the Minister of Communications, Engineer Mustafa Sanad, at the university’s main campus, in a visit aimed at strengthening communication and cooperation between academic institutions and government sectors related to technology and digital transformation.
During the meeting, the President of the University of Baghdad emphasized the importance of partnership with the Ministry of Communications in supporting digital transformation initiatives and employing modern technologies to develop the educational and administrative environment, in a manner that contributes to enhancing the level of university services and strengthening digital infrastructure.
The University President, accompanied by the Minister of Communications, toured the halls of the University of Baghdad, during which they reviewed a number of the university’s facilities and educational environment. They also observed part of a scientific discussion session at the College of Engineering, and were briefed on the proceedings of the discussion and the scientific outputs presented by graduate students, underscoring the importance of supporting scientific research and linking it to technical and industrial developments.
This activity contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4, which calls for quality education, as well as Goal 17, concerning partnerships to achieve the goals.
