University of Baghdad President Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hassan Al-Zughaibi held his weekly citizen affairs interviews on Thursday, hearing requests and appeals directly from citizens and university staff and directing relevant departments to resolve them within established legal and administrative frameworks.

During the sessions, Al-Zughaibi reviewed a number of requests and cases, instructing the relevant departments to take the necessary action and complete files that meet the required regulations and instructions, with the aim of improving efficiency and responsiveness to visitors’ needs.

He said direct engagement with citizens and university staff reflects an institutional approach adopted by the university presidency to strengthen transparency and reinforce administrative accountability, stressing the importance of taking requests and appeals seriously and finding appropriate solutions for them, in a way that helps raise the standard of services and serve the public interest.

The activity supports two Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 16 (peace, justice, and strong institutions) and Goal 17 (partnerships for the goals).
