The President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Al-Zughaybi, received a delegation from Tehran University of Medical Sciences led by Professor Dr. Seyed Reza Raees Karami, to explore avenues of academic collaboration between the two institutions.
Discussions focused on organizing specialized scientific and medical courses, alongside training programs for students and faculty. Both sides emphasized activating faculty exchange, joint academic supervision, and expanding cooperation through shared expertise, academic visits, and participation in conferences and research activities.
Professor Al-Zughaybi underscored the importance of building a sustained academic relationship with Tehran University of Medical Sciences, highlighting its role in advancing the scientific and research environment. He also invited Iranian students to enroll at the University of Baghdad under the “Study in Iraq” initiative.
It is noteworthy that Tehran University of Medical Sciences is recognized as one of the leading medical universities, distinguished by its strong academic reputation, advanced teaching hospitals, and consistent presence in global rankings—making it a significant destination for researchers in medicine and health sciences.
