The University of Baghdad Council convened its fourth session for the 2025–2026 academic year, chaired by Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University, and attended by council members. The meeting addressed a number of issues related to academic and administrative operations.

During the session, the University President underscored the importance of faculty members adhering to the practice of posting class schedules and official assignments on their office doors and providing copies to college deanships and department heads. This measure aims to reinforce academic discipline and administrative organization within educational institutions.

The Council also instructed the Department of Reconstruction and Projects, along with all university units, to adopt modern prototype designs for classrooms that allow flexible use for multiple purposes. This initiative seeks to optimize the utilization of educational infrastructure.

Additionally, the Council discussed mechanisms to maximize the use of research resources and laboratories across university units. The Office of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs presented a proposal to organize a central graduation ceremony for postgraduate students. The Graduate Studies Department was tasked with coordinating with the relevant colleges to complete the necessary preparations.

The session concluded with a reaffirmation of the university’s commitment to enhancing academic and administrative performance and to advancing the quality of education and scientific research in alignment with the university’s leading status.

This initiative contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals, including Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
