The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the launch of electronic applications for admission to the Colleges of Excellence and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad for the academic year 2025/2026. The Ministry clarifies that the conditions and regulations for application stipulate that the student must be a graduate of preparatory school for the academic year 2024/2025 and born in the year 2001 or later, with a final average of no less than 85%. Admission also requires passing an English language proficiency test and a personal interview. It is stated that graduates of both the scientific and literary branches may apply to the College of Excellence, whereby students from the scientific branch are eligible to apply to all departments, while students from the literary branch are limited to the departments of Business Administration and E-Commerce, Accounting and Banking, and Philosophy
and Sociology.
As for the College of Artificial Intelligence, only graduates of the scientific branch may apply to the departments of Engineering Applications, Biomedical Applications, and Big Data. In this regard, students from the first round are eligible to apply to both colleges. If the admission plan is not fully completed, vacant seats will be filled by graduates from both the first and second rounds according to the minimum thresholds for each department.
With respect to the application form, students from the scientific branch may select at least two departments when applying to the College of Artificial Intelligence, at least three departments when applying to the College of Excellence, and may arrange their preferences across both colleges if they wish to apply to both.
Students from the literary branch must select at least two departments when applying to the College of Excellence.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research affirms that applications must be submitted through the official electronic form provided by the Directorate of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up, and will remain open until Saturday, September 13, 2025.
