Under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University of Baghdad, and under the guidance of Prof.Dr. Raghad Abdul-Razzaq Al-Hashemi, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, the University launched a voluntary campaign to serve the pilgrims of Imam Hussein’s Arbaeen (peace be upon him) .
This initiative comes in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as the University commenced the implementation of its field plan covering three main areas in Baghdad: Al-Dora – Dora Expressway, Bab Al-Muadham – Mohammed Al-Qasim Expressway, and Al-Qanat Expressway. The university’s colleges and institutes were allocated according to their geographical locations to provide logistical and medical support as part of a comprehensive service plan aimed at enhancing the comfort of the pilgrims and facilitating the movement of processions.
The campaign continues from Saturday through Friday, with the wide participation of students, faculty members, and administrative staff, reflecting a spirit of belonging and volunteerism, and reaffirming the pioneering role of the University of Baghdad in serving society and promoting the values of solidarity, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence.
