The Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad held an extensive meeting chaired by Dr. Ali Sadiq Thiyab, Director of the Department, and attended by the heads of student activity units from the university’s colleges. The meeting was convened to discuss preparations for participation in volunteer activities during the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The meeting included an evaluation of the colleges’ performance in previous activities and the presentation of development proposals for future participation, in alignment with the university’s mission to promote volunteerism and community service.
Dr. Ali Sadiq emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts and organizing volunteer programs that appropriately represent the university. He stressed the need to enhance effective student participation and support humanitarian and social initiatives, particularly during major religious events.
This meeting is part of a series of regular gatherings aimed at strengthening communication between the Student Activities Department and the university’s various divisions, as well as expanding the scope of volunteer work and extracurricular activities in national and community forums.
