The College of Education for Women took part in a training workshop organized by UNICEF on the occasion of Global Handwashing Day, with the attendance of a distinguished group of representatives from universities and educational institutions.

The college was represented by its UNICEF liaison coordinator, Assist.Prof.Dr. Athraa Abdul-Hussein Nasser, along with two postgraduate students, Aseel Ali Abdul Kareem and Raghad Maitham Hussein. The workshop focused on mechanisms for promoting hygiene culture within educational institutions and strengthening the role of universities in fostering sustainable healthy behaviors among students and the wider community.

This participation comes as part of the ongoing commitment of the Dean of the College, Assist.Prof.Dr. Athmar Al-Shatari, to engage with international initiatives and community partnerships that support a safe and healthy educational environment.

The workshop supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically: Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
