The Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence: Importance and Legal Dimensions”, under the supervision of the Dean of the Institute, Assist.Prof.Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajeel Al-Mamouri, a certified public accountant. The workshop was presented by Assist.Prof.Dr. Mahmoud Ismail Muhammad, a faculty member at the Institute, and Legal Advisor Nebras Hashem Khalil from the Institute’s Legal Division, with the attendance of several faculty members and postgraduate students.
The workshop highlighted the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, the emergence and significance of AI-related websites, their scientific importance for students and researchers, the risks associated with using these platforms, and how to protect personal data and information. It concluded by outlining the legal framework of AI and emphasizing its importance across various sectors, including medical, social, cultural, economic, and others.
This workshop aligns with one of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 4: Quality Education.
