Under the patronage of the President of the University of Baghdad, who also serves as the Head of the Scientific Committee for the Arbaeen International Conference, the University’s Department of Student Activities organized an art exhibition in preparation for participation in the 9th edition of the conference.

The exhibition featured a collection of artworks created by university professors, students, and staff. The pieces included paintings, sculptures, and photographs all expressing the values and messages of the Battle of Karbala and the Day of Arbaeen, reflecting the humanistic and spiritual aspects of this profound event.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof.Dr. Raghad Al-Hashemi, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, in the presence of a representative from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, Prof.Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, Dean of the Institute of Urban and Regional Planning for Graduate Studies, and Dr. Ali Sadiq Thiyab, Director of the Department of Student Activities, along with a group of academics and students.

The exhibition aimed to present the artworks that the University will showcase at the Arbaeen Conference, highlighting the cultural and artistic role of academic institutions in commemorating this significant occasion.

At the conclusion of the event, the Assistant to the University President praised the high quality of the exhibited works and expressed his gratitude to all participants, affirming the University’s commitment.
