Professor Dr. Faleh Hassan Mohammed, Administrative Assistant Dean of the College of Engineering, welcomed Mr. Ali Hussein Ibrahim, Director of the Research, Development, and Studies Department at the General Company for Design and Project Execution—Ministry of Industry—along with his accompanying delegation, in the presence of several faculty members.
The meeting aimed to enhance and develop academic and research cooperation between university faculty and students and their counterparts in industrial and academic sectors. Discussions focused on exchanging expertise to support strategic plans for advancing the fields of industry, design, and implementation, as well as exploring the possibility of offering mutual training opportunities. Dr. Mohammed reaffirmed the college’s commitment to constructive collaboration that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the exchange of academic and research expertise.
The visit also reflects the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which emphasize strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and government agencies and establishing effective partnerships that contribute to sustainable development.
This initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal 9, which focuses on industry, innovation, and infrastructure.
