The College of Arts at the University of Baghdad welcomed Dr. Abdul Ilah Al-Na’eli, Head of the Martyrs Foundation, and Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mubarqa’, Minister of Youth and Sports, during an official visit aimed at discussing the college’s service and academic realities and reviewing its most pressing needs within the framework of cooperation between academic and administrative institutions.

They were received by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Amir Sajet, along with several members of the teaching and administrative staff. The meeting included discussions on ways to enhance the services offered within the college, particularly in relation to infrastructure development, expanding green spaces, and improving the overall university environment for students.

Both guests reaffirmed their support for educational institutions, especially long-established colleges such as the College of Arts, citing their significant role in fostering awareness and cultural development. They expressed their institutions’ readiness to collaborate on service projects that would contribute to creating a better educational environment.

Dr. Al-Na’eli and Minister Al-Mubarqa’ also attended part of a PhD thesis defense titled: “Difference and the Processes of Acculturation Among the Iraqi Diaspora in Sweden: An Anthropological Study”, showing interest in the academic rigor and level of research presented.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Dean of the College expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the distinguished guests for this generous initiative, which reflects a deep concern for academic institutions and their scientific mission.

This visit supports the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals, including Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), Goal 15 (Life on Land), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
