Assistant Professor Dr. Haidar Ahmed Alu Al-Qutbi, Head of the Radio and Television Department at the College of Media, University of Baghdad, praised the department’s attainment of academic accreditation. He emphasized that “this achievement represents a pioneering and unprecedented step among media colleges in Iraq and is the result of collective efforts by the teaching and administrative staff, supported directly by the college’s administration.”
Dr. Al-Qutbi noted that “this recognition reflects the department’s academic rigor and confirms the availability of integrated infrastructure that supports the educational process and practical media production.” He added, “We are proud that the Radio and Television Department is the first in Iraq to receive this accreditation, which reflects the high standards and sound academic planning adopted by the college.”
He also expressed appreciation for the supportive role of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ammar Tahir Mohammed, who played a key role in creating a suitable environment for this accomplishment by providing essential resources, laboratories, and curricula in accordance with international standards of academic accreditation.
This achievement marks a significant step in enhancing the regional and international standing of the University of Baghdad’s College of Media and contributes to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals—specifically Goal 4 (Quality Education)—by reinforcing quality standards and accreditation in higher education.
