A delegation from the Natural History Research Center and Museum at the University of Baghdad visited the Al-Kafeel Museum of Antiquities and Manuscripts at the Holy Abbasid Shrine. The delegation was received by Mr. Nafi Al-Mousawi, Head of the Al-Kafeel Museum Department, and Professor Dr. Shawqi Al-Mousawi, who led a comprehensive tour to introduce various aspects of museum operations.

The visit aimed to enhance collaboration between museum institutions in Iraq, contributing to the exchange of expertise and the development of museum practices, with potential avenues for cooperation with the shrine. During the tour, the delegation was introduced to documentation and archiving procedures for artifacts and antiquities, as well as the preservation and storage methods employed by the museum to safeguard its valuable collections.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Director of the Center expressed gratitude to the distinguished professors managing the museum for their warm hospitality, looking forward to strengthening collaboration with the Holy Abbasid Shrine Museum, given its exceptional capabilities at both the national and regional levels.

This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 17, which promotes partnerships for achieving strategic objectives.
