Baghdad University concluded a series of intensive meetings on the second and final day of the visit by the delegation from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. The discussions focused on the second phase of the Science and Technology Park project at the university, with the participation of Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Hilali, Dean of the College of Law, and several department heads.

The meetings addressed topics related to innovation, the establishment of science and technology parks in Iraq, and an analysis of the relationship framework between universities and industrial institutions. Discussions also explored opportunities to enhance the innovation environment at Baghdad University, and both parties exchanged insights on government support for the project.

Both sides emphasized the significance of this initiative as a strategic step in strengthening the role of universities in supporting the knowledge economy and linking scientific research with the labor market. They underscored its potential to contribute to the development of an effective national innovation system.

This visit falls within the broader framework of collaboration between the two universities to advance innovation in Iraq. The establishment of the Science and Technology Park at Baghdad University represents a strategic step toward enhancing scientific research and strengthening ties between academia and the industrial sector.
