As part of ongoing academic and scientific cooperation, Baghdad University welcomed a delegation from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. The delegation was accompanied by Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, along with several officials involved in the implementation of strategic projects.

The visit included a field tour of the planned Science and Technology Park at Baghdad University. The delegation reviewed the work plan for the upcoming phase, which covers infrastructure, initial designs, and potential collaborations in establishing a comprehensive science park that serves the academic community while fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. The tour also included visits to the sites of the College of Excellence and the College of Artificial Intelligence.

During the visit, the President of Baghdad University emphasized that these projects represent a strategic pillar in advancing higher education in Iraq. He noted that they contribute to building a stimulating scientific environment that integrates research with practical applications. Furthermore, he highlighted that collaboration with Sharif University of Technology presents a valuable opportunity to develop a roadmap for an academic environment centered on innovation and technology.

This initiative aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, Goal 15: Life on Land, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
