The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad has made a remarkable advancement in the SCImago International Ranking for 2025, securing 55th place in the Arab region, significantly improving from 80th place in 2024, and reaching 1,489th place globally.
The SCImago ranking evaluates institutions based on the quality of research, innovation, and societal impact. The Animal Production, Plant Protection, and Food Sciences departments demonstrated exceptional performance, contributing to this success through the dedicated efforts of faculty members and researchers at the college.
These achievements reflect the college’s commitment to academic and research excellence, reinforcing the University of Baghdad’s standing as a destination for international students. The progress also highlights the college’s ability to compete globally in the agricultural field, paving the way for new international collaborations and contributions to societal development.
This accomplishment aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4, which promotes quality education, as well as Goal 17, which advocates for partnerships in achieving development objectives.
