The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad has published an in-depth analysis by Professor Dr. Huda Abbas Qanbar, a faculty member at the college, regarding the 34th session of the Arab Summit, held in Baghdad on May 17, 2025. The article, titled “The Arab Summit in Baghdad 2025: A Chance to Strengthen Arab Solidarity and Restore Regional Influence,” was featured in the Safeer Press online journal.
This analysis reflects the college’s commitment to addressing strategic issues facing the Arab world and aims to highlight the pivotal role that the Baghdad Summit can play in tackling current challenges. In her article, Dr. Qanbar emphasized the vital significance of this summit, which takes place amid highly complex regional and international circumstances, necessitating unified Arab efforts to confront escalating crises.
Dr. Qanbar further stressed that hosting this crucial regional event in Baghdad represents a profound responsibility and a historic opportunity for Iraq to reaffirm its active role in strengthening Arab unity, particularly given the ongoing security, political, and economic challenges affecting the region.
This research aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 17, which advocates for partnerships in achieving global objectives.
