As part of its commitment to supporting student activities and fostering a culture of constructive sportsmanship, the Student Activities Unit at Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering organized a five-a-side football championship for first-year students across scientific departments.
The tournament was distinguished by a high level of performance and enthusiasm, with intense matches between the participating teams. As a result of the competitions, the Information and Communications Department team (morning study program) secured a place in the final after outstanding performances, where they will be joined by the Biomedical Engineering Department team, who also demonstrated their merit in reaching the championship final.
The tournament is scheduled to conclude next week with the much-anticipated final match, expected to draw significant student and academic attendance, adding a vibrant atmosphere to the event. The winning team will be crowned as the tournament champion.
This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3, which advocates for ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages, as well as Goal 17, which emphasizes partnerships for achieving development objectives.
