The President of Baghdad University, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, welcomed a delegation from Iran’s Sharif University of Technology, accompanied by Baghdad University’s Scientific Assistant, Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, and several officials. The meeting focused on ways to enhance academic and research collaboration between the two universities, including master’s and doctoral programs, student exchanges, and the development of academic and training programs.
Both sides discussed the potential for experience-sharing with global universities and joint scientific publications. They also agreed to draft a working paper outlining the framework for academic and research cooperation between the two institutions.
In support of fostering an innovative environment, an agreement was signed on a work plan for science and technology parks in the coming months, ensuring a knowledge-based integration that aligns with the university’s vision of linking education to industrial production.
This academic partnership contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4, which promotes quality education, as well as Goal 17, which advocates for partnerships to achieve development objectives.
