Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University of Baghdad, conducted an inspection of the campus bus departure area at the Jadriya Complex to assess the transportation services and student transit mechanisms, identify challenges, and implement solutions to ensure a smooth and efficient transport system within the university campus.
During his tour, the university president emphasized the importance of internal transportation services, noting that enhancing the university’s public transport system is a key initiative to improve the educational environment and create a more student-friendly atmosphere.
He further explained that the university, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, has introduced modern, air-conditioned buses to facilitate student transportation within the campus. Additionally, older and deteriorated buses have been replaced to provide better services and support the educational movement in the country.
This inspection aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), by ensuring safe, accessible, and affordable transportation systems while improving road safety for students and staff.
