The Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad welcomed a high-level scientific delegation from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, accompanied by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah. The visiting delegation was led by Professor Dr. Abbas Mousavi, President of Sharif University of Technology, and included several distinguished professors specializing in engineering and applied sciences.
The meeting featured discussions on several key scientific topics, including the exchange of expertise in science parks and the development of joint research programs. Both parties also explored the possibility of organizing joint conferences and workshops, as well as launching research initiatives to address contemporary technological challenges.
During the discussions, both institutions emphasized the importance of strengthening academic relations to promote scientific advancement and enhance the role of universities in fostering a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation and development.
This initiative aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reinforcing the commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration.
