The Green Tech Team from the Public Relations Department at the College of Media, University of Baghdad, has published the first edition of “Green Tech” magazine for the year 2025. This specialized environmental publication aims to highlight issues related to the green economy, sustainability concepts, and environmental transformation, under the slogan “Let’s Make Our Impact Green.”
The inaugural issue features a collection of articles, investigative reports, and scientific studies covering various topics such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and eco-friendly construction. Additionally, the magazine includes interviews with influential figures in the environmental field and inspiring success stories of outstanding young Iraqis.
Moreover, the magazine presents academic studies and doctoral theses discussing the impact of green economy policies on economic growth and sustainable development. It also includes field investigations on urban expansion, orchard degradation, and the effects of climate change on local communities.
The publication has received commendation from environmental and media experts for being a serious student-led initiative that reflects growing awareness of environmental issues. It is considered one of the key efforts aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), Goal 13 (Climate Action), and Goal 15 (Life on Land).
