Dr. Ghazi Maan Faisal, a faculty member at the Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad, participated in the International Conference on Business and Technology (ICBT Edinburgh 2025), hosted by the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. The event was held via Zoom and brought together distinguished researchers and academics from around the world.

Dr. Faisal’s participation included a collaborative research paper with Dr. Amer Daikh Obaid, a college member at the College of Administration and Economics at Al-Iraqia University, titled “The Iraqi Judicial System in Light of the Activation of the Role of the Forensic Accountant: Proposed Strategies and Methods.” The paper examines the Iraqi judicial system and the impact of activating the role of forensic accountants, proposing strategies and methods to enhance its efficiency in alignment with international standards while emphasizing transparency and credibility in judicial investigations.

The conference received technical support from Springer Nature, and its proceedings will be indexed in renowned global databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and SpringerLink. This participation represents an important step in strengthening academic collaboration, supporting scientific research, and expanding opportunities for scholars in the fields of accounting, auditing, and related contemporary topics.

This initiative contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4, which promotes quality education, and Goal 17, which encourages partnerships for achieving global objectives.
