In a distinguished global scientific event, the College of Dentistry at Baghdad University has organized its 25th International Conference, bringing together a select group of academic minds and research expertise from across Iraq and around the world. This prestigious gathering places Baghdad at the forefront of the global map for the latest developments in oral and dental medicine and surgery.
The conference saw active participation from renowned educational and health institutions, focusing on the latest scientific advancements in dental implant techniques, digital orthodontics, advanced endodontic treatments, and oral disease prevention. Additionally, specialized workshops and exhibitions showcased the latest innovations in medical technology.
In his address, Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, Assistant President of Baghdad University for Scientific Affairs, emphasized that this conference is not merely an academic event but a strategic global platform for exchanging expertise and building academic cooperation between Iraq and the international community. He highlighted how such gatherings effectively transfer global experiences to Iraq, elevating scientific research and advancing diagnostic and treatment systems.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Raghed Abdulrazzaq Al-Hashemi, unveiled a series of remarkable achievements by the college, including obtaining full national accreditation, joining the European Association for Dental Education (ADEE), having its scientific journal indexed in the Scopus database, and securing European recognition of its educational programs through the LEADER PROGRAM. These accomplishments positioned the college at the top of Iraq’s academic rankings for 2024.
Al-Hashemi remarked that these successes were made possible through the significant support of the Minister of Higher Education and the university’s administration, strengthening the college’s standing on the global stage and proving that Iraq can achieve excellence when scientific and administrative efforts converge.
The conference concluded with the recognition of distinguished scientific figures and the presentation of cutting-edge research shaping the future of dentistry in Iraq and the region.
Through this event, Baghdad University’s College of Dentistry reaffirms its commitment to not only fostering knowledge but also driving transformation and progress in modern dentistry.
