As part of the ongoing efforts of the Dean’s Office of the College of Languages to provide opportunities for postgraduate studies to its graduates from the scientific departments, the Persian Language Department, under the leadership of the department coordinator Dr. Anwar Abbas Majid, has successfully coordinated with the Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Iraq to secure free scholarships for students to pursue a Master’s degree at reputable universities in the Islamic Republic of Iran. These universities, which are ranked internationally, include Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, Isfahan University in Isfahan, and Imam Khomeini University in Qazvin.
In this regard, six graduates from the Persian Language Department for the academic year 2023-2024 have begun their studies following the issuance of final acceptance orders from the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
This constructive collaboration is the result of continuous communication between the College of Languages, the Persian Language Department, and the Iranian Cultural Attaché, driven by the graduates’ outstanding academic levels, which qualified them to receive these free scholarships.
These scholarships align with one of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 17, which calls for partnerships to achieve the goals.
