The College of Pharmacy at Baghdad University, in collaboration with several pharmacy colleges across Iraq, organized the International Pharmacy Exhibition and Conference (IPA) with wide participation exceeding 3,000 pharmacists from various Iraqi provinces, as well as from several Arab and foreign countries. This reflects the growing significance of this prominent scientific event in the fields of pharmacy and healthcare.
The conference, which is considered one of the largest academic and professional events in the pharmaceutical sector, included specialized scientific sessions presented by a select group of international professors and experts in pharmacy sciences and pharmaceutical industries. Additionally, advanced training workshops were held to enhance the professional skills of pharmacists and improve their clinical and industrial practices.
The conference also featured an international pharmaceutical exhibition with the participation of dozens of pharmaceutical companies from both within Iraq and abroad. The exhibition showcased the latest pharmaceutical products and technologies, providing an opportunity for networking between professionals and the industrial sector and opening up prospects for collaboration in research and development.
During the opening ceremony, the President of Baghdad University, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, emphasized that the conference is a prominent scientific and academic event that keeps pace with scientific advancements and brings together a distinguished group of researchers, academics, industrialists, and students. He highlighted the importance of fostering knowledge exchange and strengthening the partnership between higher education institutions and the national pharmaceutical industry sectors.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof.Dr. Sarmad Hashim Al-Khatib, pointed out that the conference represents a unique and distinguished moment where academics meet with decision-makers, the labor market, and the industry. The event provides a space where minds, ideas, and aspirations converge, turning scientific research into practical solutions that can change people’s lives.
It is worth mentioning that the conference received widespread attention from media outlets and healthcare institutions, reflecting its growing impact in advancing the pharmaceutical landscape in Iraq and the region.
