The Center for Strategic and International Studies held its first quarterly symposium of the year under the title “Iraq and Digital Transformation Amid Global Changes”, attended by the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, along with a select group of academics and experts in the fields of technology, politics, and economics.
The symposium addressed a range of key topics highlighting the importance of digital transformation in Iraq and its role in promoting good governance, developing digital infrastructure, and improving government performance and public services—particularly in light of the rapid regional and international challenges and developments.
Several research papers were presented during the seminar, discussing the challenges Iraq faces in the realm of digital transformation. These include weak technological infrastructure, limited specialized expertise, and the need for flexible legislation that supports digital transformation and keeps pace with global developments.
This event contributes to achieving two of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Goal 4 Quality Education, and Goal 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.
