The College of Science at the University of Baghdad has organized a training course to implement the provisions of the cooperation agreement with the Directorate of Human Rights under the Legal Affairs Department of the Ministry of Defense. The course commenced with logistical preparations and will extend for a full month.

This initiative aims to train members of the Directorate of Human Rights, reflecting the university’s motto of serving the community, and leveraging the College of Science’s esteemed reputation and distinguished faculty and researchers.

The training course, conducted by specialized college members of the college, focuses on the use of the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) device. The device, which is one of the laboratory tools in the College’s Remote Sensing Unit, is designed to utilize ground-penetrating radar technology. A specialized team has begun training the directorate’s members on the operation of this device through both theoretical and practical lectures, following an academic curriculum prepared for this purpose. Additionally, a virtual laboratory has been established to facilitate training on using the device to explore underground depths.

This training course aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 17, which advocates for partnerships to achieve shared objectives.
